This Refund Policy applies to paid services, subscriptions, or features provided by Better Canadian Jobs (BCJ) via bettercanadianjobs.ca (the “Site”). If you are purchasing or using any paid service from BCJ, this policy governs how refunds are handled.

1. Applicability

This policy applies only to paid services (job-postings, premium listings, priority listings, subscription plans, or other paid features).

Free services or basic account features are not eligible for refunds.

Promotions, coupons, or credits may be subject to separate terms.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be available under the following conditions:

You request a refund within [14] days of the purchase date .

The paid service has not yet been used, or minimal usage (e.g. job posting not published, no candidate views, or no significant exposure).

You have a valid proof of purchase or transaction ID.

The refund request does not conflict with the terms of sale set by payment processors or third-party platforms.

Refunds will not be granted if:

The service has been substantially used (e.g., job has been live for most of the subscription period, numerous views or applications).

You have violated the Terms of Service.

Refund request comes after the refund window has expired.

The purchase was made with promotional credits or discounts not eligible for refund (unless otherwise stated).

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, you must:

Contact us via email at support@bettercanadianjobs.ca (or your customer support email) within the refund window, providing:

Your account details (name, username/email).

Transaction ID / order number.

Date of purchase.

Reason for refund (optional, but helpful).

Our support team will review the request and respond within [7] business days.

4. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued through the original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.).

The time it takes to reflect in your account depends on your payment provider (often 5–14 business days).

In some cases, BCJ may issue refunds via alternate payment methods if original method is not available—but only if agreed by both parties.

Refund amounts may exclude transaction fees or processing charges (depending on payment processor rules). We reserve the right to deduct non-refundable fees.

5. Partial Refunds & Pro Rata

In some cases, we may grant partial refunds when:

The service was partially used (e.g., job post active shorter than the full period).

You cancel a subscription mid-term (if allowed), and we prorate the unused portion.

After negotiation, BCJ and the user agree to partial refund terms.

6. Subscription Cancellation vs Refunds

Cancelling a subscription prevents renewal but does not guarantee a refund—refunds must follow the above rules.

You remain active until the end of your paid period.

No refunds will be given for past billing cycles already consumed.

7. Disputes & Denied Refunds

If your refund is denied, you may reply requesting reconsideration along with additional details.

All decisions are final subject to applicable consumer protection and banking laws.

8. Changes to Refund Policy

We may revise this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page with updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of paid services after changes means you accept the new policy.
